Supports Global Sustainment Program Integration lead for Lighter-than-air (LTA) sub-market segment. This position provides Sustainment and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) project management support to ensure Sustainment products and services are developed and delivered per contract cost, schedule, and technical requirements. Candidate will also participate in proposal activity for new LTA business, providing Operations viewpoints to Akron site leaders. Candidate will take direction from Program Managers, functional leadership, and from the LTA Global Sustainment Manager, and will be the Global Sustainment representative to various IPTs in the product area. Key tasks and responsibilities include: - Assists project lead to develop, propose, and execute plans to produce new aerostat systems and complete upgrades to existing aerostat systems - Assists project lead in development of "build-to" configuration definition - Assists project lead to create site/system specific plans for full lifecycle of program from receipt, store & perform material management, represented workforce support to test and integration, and complete pack, ship and transportation actions - Assists Program Production Manager in identifying and executing needed maintenance tracking processes to manage integration effort and support requirements - Assists Program Production Manager in coordinating and reporting progress of manufacturing and sourcing support to new production and repair/upgrade to existing systems - Ensures adherence to Global Sustainment processes and procedures for product development - Performs CAM duties for all assigned Cost Accounts - Plans personnel resource and schedule requirements and monitoring to plan - Establishes strategic sustainment goals and objectives for this product area - Works collaboratively with engineering, logistics, quality, manufacturing, test, OEM vendors, DCMA and customer to facilitate support and provide oversight and direction. - Manage metric reporting to Global Sustainment functional leaders
Basic Qualifications Technical expertise/knowledge of aerostat system major components - Experience working with related production and integrations disciplines as well as a Represented workforce - Experience with Microsoft Project to develop and manage schedules - Experience with, and understanding of, engineering drawings as relates to configuration management - Knowledge of intermodal ISO shipping container packing/movement and aircraft loading requirements - Knowledge of and experience with AS 9100 compliance requirements - Cost Account Management - Knowledge of basic Material Requirements Planning (MRP) principles - Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles as pertains to releasing production orders - Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) audit guidelines
Desired skills - Proven track record of acting independently and in a team environment to execute program requirements. - Proficient in personal time management. - Proven dependability - Experience with COS MRP, EPDM, P2P, IUID requirements - Historical manufacturing or depot operations experience - Experience operating between more than one site
