Lockheed Martin Business Development Analyst Principle / US Navy / Next Generation Strike Strategy Development and Strategic Communications / Arlington, VA in Arlington, Virginia
Strategy and business growth leader for U.S. Navy and international Naval strike weapons market, including but not limited to cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, ballistic missiles and high speed strike systems. The focus of this position is to develop and help execute the strategy for MFC to address the emerging surface launched naval strike munitions market. This position is part of the Tactical Missiles and Advanced Programs Navy Strategy and Business Development group. This group is tasked to define growth strategies, identify, qualify and capture business growth opportunities with the US Navy customer. This position will also support international opportunities on a case by case basis, typically involving work in the DC area with US entities approving international sales.
The selected candidate will:
• Develop and provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to enable the most effective use of limited company resources in addressing the US Navy and international naval missile strike market. • Help build campaign plans to capture new business, support the capture team, and win competitions. • Support development and execution of keep sold plans for ongoing programs. • Participate in the development and implementation of new products and services, spiral developments, and new business pursuits. • Communicate frequently with government customers at the appropriate level.
Basic Qualifications • Demonstrated ability to work and gain credibility with executive leadership, senior military, and civilian leaders. • Comprehensive knowledge of US Surface Navy and related weapons programs. • Broad industry and Department of Defense knowledge. • Extensive experience building strong and productive relationships with key individuals in the US military. • Demonstrated ability to work closely with and lead a diverse team of experts to accomplish demanding tasks in limited timeframes. • Ability to work in a demanding, high stress environment. Demonstrated crisis management skills. • Existing relationships with key individuals in the US Navy. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. • Track record of exceptional performance in relevant assignments.
Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security / SCI Clearance.
Desired skills • Former US Navy Surface Warfare Officer with a demonstrated history of strategic thought leadership for US Navy and Surface Navy in particular. • Demonstrated working knowledge of US military acquisition process, requirements development and budgetary process. • Recent experience as part of US Navy OPNAV N8 or N9 organizations and/or Navy International Program Office. • Former weapons officer or combat system officer on CG / DDG. • Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline.
