Lockheed Martin Lead Quality Assurance Inspector in Bethesda, Maryland
Lead Quality Assurance Inspector for CLS Iraq F-16 Program (Balad) This position is part of the team supporting F-16 aircraft maintenance at Balad AB Iraq, and will be responsible for the site Quality Assurance program. Requires the ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review Corrective Action/Prevent Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans. Requires experience in the inspection of aircraft ground handling/servicing; component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) execution. Requires experience in inspection of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Ground Support Equipment (GSE); Hazardous Material/Waste programs; tool and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) industry standards; equipment calibration procedures; general security procedures. Requires ability to identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to munitions inspections, procedural breakdowns and/or program (process) audits. Requires ability to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective action, and validations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFO: Candidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program. Candidate must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in his career field. Candidate must have documented qualifications in related maintenance fields. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.Environmental/weather conditions can be extreme during different seasons. Site is a secure compound which team members will be confined to. Flexibility, a positive attitude and excellent people skills are a must.
Basic Qualifications USAF 7 Skill Level or equivalent in aircraft maintenance specialty At least 10 years aircraft maintenance experience At least 2 years experience in a quality assurance supervisory role Requires experience in inspection of aircraft ground handling and servicing; component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; TCTOs. Experience in all aspects of flight line and back shop maintenance Experience with developing reports and analysis of Quality Assurance inspection data
Desired skills Full understanding of USAF AFI 21-101, USAF Technical Orders, and DCMA 8210.1C Experience in USAF Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Program (MSEP) processes and knowledge of operating associates data base. Possess solid familiarity of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C aviation standards and practical experience with Quality Management (QM) internal audit processes—formal training preferred. Possess effective communication skills for coordinating with Aircraft Managers/Supervisors, Field Service Representatives, System Engineers, Maintenance Logistics Support Managers, Customer contract officer representatives (COR) and maintainers regarding quality issues, instrumentation systems integration, deficiency analysis/reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur. Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blue prints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions. Capable of conducting teleconference and/or briefing (presentation) to management/customer Ability to speak/communicate in Arabic Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
