Lockheed Martin has a vital interest in supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and partnerships to assure the supply and recruitment of talent for the company’s future workforce. The STEM Program Manager role will report to the Integrated Talent Manager as part of the Vice President’s office in Workforce Solutions & Intelligence organization within the Human Resources function. This position has responsibility for developing and establishing an integrated, enterprise-wide STEM strategy aligned to the Human Capital strategy and addresses the diverse, technical talent pipeline needs of the future. Responsibilities will include conducting an assessment of current contributions, sponsorships and investments. This will require partnering with Business Area and Functional STEM Leads to analyze current partnerships and impact and identify STEM partners that best align to Lockheed Martin’s critical skills and hiring requirements. This position is also responsible for benchmarking Lockheed Martin’s STEM initiatives and investments against the external market to drive best-in-class STEM programs. Additionally, this position will be responsible for establishing criteria to measure effectiveness of programs and partnerships. As a Program Manager, this position will have responsibility for managing approximately $13M annual budget related to STEM contributions and maximizing impact.
Basic Qualifications •Project Management: Ability to develop a full project plan, lead the team members and stakeholders through the plan, and fully execute. Proven ability to move between strategy and execution. •Analytical skills: Use of tools (i.e., excel) to analyze data and recognize trends in order to assess effectiveness of existing efforts and provide solution driven recommendations. •Budget Management: Proven ability to manage large million dollar budgets •Problem solving: Ability to sift through layers of details to recognize the root cause and determine best path forward. •Leadership: Ability to lead a large scale enterprise wide project. •Influence: Ability to influence and work collaboratively with all levels of stakeholders across the enterprise.
