Lockheed Martin Technician Spec in Bothell, Washington
Building and testing of various laser components (optical, mechanical, and electrical) in support of engineering development and pilot production. The engineering technician will work closely with other technicians and engineers in executing tasks that could include cable harness assembly, subassembly & box level assembly / test, thermal testing, fiber optic splicing, and other similar assembly and test tasks both in the R&D labs and on the pilot production line.
Basic Qualifications Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, good organizational skills, computer literacy, and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to read blue prints, schematics, and drawings and following verbal and written instructions. Experience reading work instructions and performing tasks as per instructions.
Desired skills Exceptional lab skills: ability to prototype, test, and debug electronics Experience in handling fiber, fiber splicing equipment including fiber polishing equipment. Experience working with high power electronics Experience with cooling systems and associated mechanical piping including high pressure air and hydraulic systems Experience in routine maintenance and repair of PLC systems.
