Lockheed Martin DevOps Engineer/Adminstrator in Boulder, Colorado

The Persistent Data Transport (PDT) project operates within the Overhead Persistent GEOINT Architecture (OPGA). PDT is primarily responsible for storing and transporting offline “persistent” datasets to offline processing systems. PDT will use agile development methodology and leverage DevOps practices to develop and deliver a hybrid cloud / on premise system. The DevOps Engineer: - Creates and maintains the infrastructure, including continuous integration, automated builds & deployment, and automated end-to-end testing. - Creates tools, platforms, and environments for Demos, product testing, and software releases. - Creates products, utilities, scripts, and tools to automate builds, deployment, and testing. - Builds and maintains development & testing environments and production-equivalent staging environments. - Troubleshoots Operational tests, releases, software defects, and other issues. As a member of the System Team, the candidate may also support the Verification Team, which - Creates test procedures, perform test conduct, verify requirements, and assimilate enterprise system requirements. - Runs and potentially creates automated end-to-end tests using SpecFlow/C# within software test frameworks. - Acts as liaison with other stakeholders, such as, data/service providers, infrastructure admins, software developers, FOSS/COTS vendors, etc. The APEX team within Lockheed Martin SSC’s Mission Solutions business area is looking for engineers to augment our Agile Teams in support of various programs, R&D, and new business pursuits. The selected candidate will participate in progressing DevOps capabilities including automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, distributed CM, and modern development tools. . The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills and a desire to have fun with your work as the position may require frequent internal interactions with teammates in other geographical locations. Basic Qualifications - Must have strong teamwork skills. - Systems administration experience including developing, deploying and supporting cloud and/or database architected systems. - Strong scripting skills. - Linux OS background. - Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Desired skills

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering or scientific discipline. - TS/SCI Clearance - Experience developing, deploying, and supporting AWS based systems. - Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team. - Strong Java, C/C++, or Python programming experience. - System provisioning tool (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc.) experience.
