Lockheed Martin QA Inspector in Coatesville, Pennsylvania

  1. Performs inspection of aircraft components during their assembly, installation and adjustment on an aircraft to insure that the workmanship and materials conform to the aircraft manufacturer’s specifications and maintenance manual procedures.

  2. Monitors systems testing and Avionics / Electrical installations and checkouts. Determines accuracy of installation of components in power plant and hydraulic system to ensure that specified tolerances are met. Logs inspections performed on aircraft.

  3. Performs Assembly/Modification Inspections and Final and Preflight Inspections.

  4. Manages logbooks and updates/maintains Aircraft Records (paper and computerized).

  5. Ensures that all work performed complies with company, customer, and FAR requirements. Track and manage AD’s, SB’s, and CSN’s, applicable to the subject aircraft.

  6. Inspects aircraft parts/components fabrication and installations in accordance with standard procedures, methods, and practices. Reviews and audits technical records that support airworthiness of all aircraft, aircraft parts/components.

  7. Follow all Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and general housekeeping requirements.

  8. Follow all Environmental, Health, & Safety (EH&S) Rules and Regulations.

  9. Adhere to all policies governing Flight Line Safety and apply quality and Flight Safety Procedures.

  10. Utilize Solumina to document aviation maintenance for work methods, conformance to standards, and rework as required.

  11. Protect parts to prevent Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).

  12. Perform all torque operations per specifications.

  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications A&P certification.

Familiarization and past experience with standard FAA forms for recording repairs, alterations, new installations (STC’s etc.), certificating an aircraft for return to service.

Desired skills High School/Trade School Graduate. 3 - 5 years minimum production line / repair station inspection experience, with Flight Operations experience.

Must be comfortable working with little to no direct supervision.

ust be well versed in working to complex Engineering Drawings, Maintenance / Repair Manuals.

  1. Must be proficient in the use of standard shop measuring tools, 6” scale, ball gages, micrometers, calipers, etc.
