Lockheed Martin Senior Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

We are looking for a System Engineer to support the ICBM Operational Software Sustainment Program (IOSSP) for the development and testing of ICBM systems. The candidate will be working on requirements definition, test procedure development and test of the REACT COP and MPT software. The Engineer will need to be self-motivated and have strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate must possess strong teamwork, problem solving, and customer interaction skills. The candidate will be required to perform the following job duties:

Must support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analysis for the ICBM systems.

Must perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications for IOSSP

Basic Qualifications Candidate must have 3 years’ experience with the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) including missile combat crew experience. Must be capable of incorporating customer’s technical requirements into operational scenarios to evaluate need level and risk. Must have excellent speaking and writing skills. Must have the skills to translate requirements, use cases and mission threads into detailed test procedures then execute formal qualification and system tests. Must support hardware, software, information assurance and technical manual development to ensure design implementation supports all stakeholder needs.

Desired skills Ability to increase the technical knowledge of the entire program team by sharing operational Minuteman III ICBM experiences with: - Air Force Nuclear Surety and Weapon System Safety Rules (WSSRs) - Vandenberg Air Force Base ICBM test launch operations - ICBM squadron cryptographic code change operations - Organization and utilization of operations and maintenance technical manuals - Development of operational test and evaluations scenarios and automated scripts
