Lockheed Martin Systems Administrtor_Unix and/or Windows in Colorado Springs, Colorado

This position supports the GPS Control Segment Sustainment (GCS) Organizational Level Maintenance (OLM) at the Master Control Station (MCS) located at Schriever AFB (SAFB), CO. This position will work closely with the SAFB GCS OLM team, GCS Software DLM team, 2SOPS, 50SW systems analysts and anomaly response personnel. The System Administrator is responsible for participating in the implementation, maintenance and support of UNIX, Linux and Windows systems and their components along with other information technologies. This position coordinates and performs software installations and upgrades to the GCS OS/COTS software and database packages, ensuring implementation in accordance with established GCS and 50SW/2SOPS policies/procedures while ensuring configuration control. The System Administrator is responsible for managing appropriate software solutions to ensure server data integrity, monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance level. The system administrator will also monitor security alerts and application systems while working with other staff to ensure that all appropriate patch application occurs in an automated and timely fashion. The systems administrator will also be required to troubleshoot and assist with the resolving system HW and SW issues to restore systems to operations. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications UNIX and/or MS Windows System Administration experience Active DOD Secret clearance. Current Security + or Network + certification and ability to maintain certification Candidate must be willing to work an occasional non-standard work week. Ability to work in a team-oriented setting or independently as required to achieve goals and objectives in a fast paced, schedule driven environment.

Desired skills Familiarity with MS Windows and/or Solaris 10 operating system. Understand various windows UNIX tools and scripts. Experience supporting a development/sustainment lab environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated. Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required. Strong networking and/or systems administration skills. Experience with PERL/SED/AWK/KSH/BASH scripting. Familiarity with system Accreditation process.
