Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado
This position is for a Systems Engineer on the AFRL Space BMC2 JEON team. The candidate will be knowledgeable in the Systems Engineering processes, performing requirements generation & decomposition, and architecture artifact development, as well as working in a fast paced development environment.
Other duties include: a) Perform engineering assessment of subsystems and components using methodologies and techniques appropriate to the systems engineering discipline, including risk management, requirements management, and reliability analysis; b) Provide expert advice and support during the entire life cycle from the specification and analysis of requirements, through the design of the software, SW development, and integration and test; c) Identify and solve technical problems during all phases; d) Develop technical reports and documentation.
Basic Qualifications - Ability to identify and define desired capabilities; communicating the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users - Operational concept development - Requirements generation, decomposition - Architecture artifact generation to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities - System interface definition/description - Risk identification and mitigation - Ability to conduct trade studies - Must have strong teamwork skills - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
Desired skills - Experience in software intensive systems and agile software development practices - DOORS administration and ability to maintain multiple requirements baselines in DOORS highly desired - Experience with the entire engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and deployment)
