Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Sr Stf in Eglin Afb, Florida

This is an opportunity to work on the Labs and Tech Services (L&TS) F-35 Reprogramming Labs team. The reprogramming labs support the development and verification of mission data throughout the life of the customer’s F-35 aircraft. This capability is of critical importance to IOC milestones and ongoing operations of the fleet and L&TS has a large share of the relevant engineering scope.

This position is for a Sustainment Technical Lead supporting L&TS on all F-35 reprogramming laboratories. There are three primary responsibilities that this team member will hold: engineering oversight, training management and second-tier troubleshooting and support coordination. This team member will report directly to the L&TS F-35 Reprogramming Labs senior manager

This team member will perform engineering oversight to proactively ensure that L&TS reprogramming deliverables are engineered with sustainability in mind as well as to raise and address sustainability design issues that make their way to the field. The selected candidate will also design and implement a training program for field support teams in order to build and document expertise on specific sub-systems and integrated systems. Lastly, when individual labs experience difficult to resolve cross-subsystem issues, this individual will be responsible for coordinating second-tier support and ensuring timely resolution.

This team member will have significant interface with project leads, integration leads and operations leads for each individual reprogramming laboratory in order to ensure that our engineering organization is adequately addressing all sustainment related issues.

The primary work site for this position will be at Eglin Air Force Base with occasional travel to other deliverable sites, supplier sites, and lab development sites.

Basic Qualifications Active secret clearance Ability to obtain SAP/SAR Clearances Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university Experience in the field support of laboratory systems Experience in operations and troubleshooting of avionics hardware in-the-loop simulation systems Demonstrated functional and interface knowledge in one or more of the following: avionics simulations, avionics sensors, such as radar, electronic warfare, CNI, or IR subsystems Demonstrated functional knowledge in one or more of the following: hardware-in-the-loop simulation models, radio-frequency stimulators, avionics data recording and analysis

Desired skills Degrees preferred: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Technical Management Familiarity with sustainment data products sources and destinations Familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems. Experience in development of System Requirements and Allocation to subsystems. Experience in development of detail System Design Working knowledge regarding military threat analysis. Experience in development and execution of System Test Procedures Experience in delivering products to external customers Strong technical leadership Strong oral written communication skills Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Strong work ethic and self-motivation Strong planning skills to include logical task structure, estimating, etc. Strong understanding of product development
