Lockheed Martin Senior Systems Integration Engineer - Interface Definition Engineer - C-130 Aircraft in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

This position is for a Systems Requirements and Interface Definition Engineer responsible for supporting the C-130 aircraft platform across multiple sites in the Northwest Florida region. The candidate should have demonstrated previous experience with defining, documenting, and maintaining interface requirements for subsystems (primarily electrical/avionics) on a military aircraft platform. Additionally the candidate should have a solid understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, which will enable a successful plan forward from the point of design concept to integration and test. In support of design efforts, the candidate will collaborate with other Systems and Design Engineers to ensure the interfaces as defined do comply with other technical baseline products such as system specifications and drawings. The candidate will be expected to sponsor and address process improvements, process streamlining, and automation, where applicable. This candidate will be expected to develop interface control documentation (primary focus being on electrical interfaces) using inputs from technical reviews, aircraft surveys, and existing subsystem specifications. The candidate will be expected to develop material in preparation for technical reviews and actively participate in Customer meetings. In support of engineering proposals and design changes, the candidate will provide accurate projections of engineering resource requirements (people, tools, processes, etc.) in the form of detailed task lists with Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Schedule inputs. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that approved organizational standard processes are followed, in addition to leveraging proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of the business or industry, as required. Projects/tasks will be specific to the Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) contract.

Basic Qualifications Accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Understanding of the Systems Engineering Design Lifecycle, Experience leading the development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Experience leading the development of material for Technical Reviews, Experience leading and working with subcontractors and the military customer, Willing to travel when required, Ability to perform (or participate in) on-aircraft surveys.

Desired skills Masters Degree in Systems Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, Experience interfacing with the Air Force customer, Experience with C-130 aircraft electrical/avionics systems.
