Lockheed Martin Business Development Analyst - Early Career in Fort Worth, Texas
Under the supervision and coaching of the Proposal Development Center (PDC) Manager, the successful candidate will lead small non-critical competitive proposals with lower complexity. In this role he/she will learn how to apply the proposal process towards attainment of a compelling and compliant proposal in response to a customer’s solicitation (e.g., Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), etc.). Specific responsibilities include:
• Development of the proposal plan and the outline for the proposal response based upon an analysis of the solicitation requirements. • Managing the proposal effort in accordance with the plan ensuring that the strategy and associated messages (i.e., win themes, discriminators...etc.) are incorporated into the proposal. Lead proposal kickoff and status meetings capturing action items, coordinating tasking and facilitating resolution of issues. Provide just-in-time training to support author creation of text and graphics, support development of story line and integrate results of management and proposal reviews (i.e., pink teams, red teams…etc.). • Foster a proposal environment based upon Lockheed Martin’s core values that enable multi-discipline and multi-site proposal teams to work synergistically, focus on the proposal, utilize company resources effectively, minimize destructive conflict and enable delivery of proposal commitments that exceed customer expectations. Provide regular status to management and proposal team. • Ensure proposal artifacts are responsive to and compliant with solicitation instructions. • Ability to travel and support proposals at other LM sites is required.
The successful candidate will also support other Proposal Managers on larger competitive proposal efforts performing as a Proposal Coordinator, Book Boss, Compliance Matrix lead, and other roles important to delivering a compliant and compelling proposal. In addition, the successful candidate will support internal initiatives to improve proposal efficiency and effectiveness, with a continuous process improvement focus.
Must be a US Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. - Experience working under tight deadlines. - Experience in use of Microsoft Office skills, including working knowledge of SharePoint
Desired skills - Bachelor's degree in a Technical field - Knowledge of the DOD Acquisition System process is a plus. - Good verbal and written communication skills
