Lockheed Martin Field Service Engineer Instructor/Trainer, F-35 Program in Fort Worth, Texas
This position will be located in Ft Worth, Texas. The successful candidate will act as an instructor for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Vehicle & Mission System technical training team and be the interface for all on-boarding F-35 Field Service Engineers(FSE). The FSE trainer will be responsible for all training material delivery, assist with the sustainment/upkeep of the data and be able to successfully facilitate training events (multiple, held annually) to insure LM FSEs are proficient in resolving issues arising from maintenance or modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft. The preferred candidate should have an accomplished background in troubleshooting and analysis of aircraft Vehicle Systems/Mission Systems problems. This senior level FSE lead will need to stay apprised of field issues and work to adjust the training material accordingly based on engineering dispositions and Action Requests (AR). They must be willing to work and interact with all level of personnel from maintainer communities to Integrated Product Team (IPT) engineers and other companies. Candidates must be able to work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with FSEs and customer personnel at all levels. Candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation. Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team. Act as the primary training interface in Fort Worth and Greenville for Field Team Operations (FTO). Must be willing to travel to support training requirements.
Must be a US Citizen. The position is located at a facility that will require special access. Must be able to obtain F-35 Special Program Access. Candidate must have a Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years prior to starting.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelors Degree with 5 years Vehicle Systems or Avionics-Mission Systems experience or will accept a minimum 10 years’ experience with Vehicle Systems/Avionics-Mission Systems without a Bachelor's degree - 5th generation fighter aircraft experience - Technical writing skills - Training experience (formal or informal) - Extensive background in drawing/schematic reading and interpretation - Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
Desired skills - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college - Experience in US Air Force or USN/USMC operations - International customer experience a plus - Delivery/Development of training material - Experience leading a project or team - F-35 avionics experience (VS & MS) to include replacing components and performing checkout procedures or F-35 electro-mechanical experience to include replacing components and performing checkout procedures - F-35 troubleshooting experience (electro-mechanical or avionics) to include perform wiring checks, interpret Integrated Cautions and Warning (ICAWs), interpret Health Reporting Codes (HRCs) - Knowledge of the following systems (desired): Electrical Power System, Power Thermal Management System, Hydraulic System, Flight Control System, Vehicle Systems Processing, and Mission Systems - Experience (desired) interpreting Prognostic Health Management (JARVIS and CRE) reports to determine troubleshooting paths - Use/knowledge of Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintainer Vehicle Interface (MVI) - Use Visualization Analysis System (VAS), Product Data Manager (PDM), JSF Data Library (JDL), Joint Electrical Design and Installation (JEDI) - Technical Training Instructor experience (desired - OJT or formal training)
