Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

This position will support the JSF Final Assembly. This team member will be called up to work independently and as part of a team. Primary focus will be Cost Reduction initiatives, but position will also require (1) Immediate response to wide range of difficult problems discovered on the F-35 production line – following up with root cause analysis and development of correct action plans. (2) Technical assistance to our leadership, supervision and mechanics through work around plan development, guidance with aircraft structure, systems or software repairs and improvement initiatives. (3) Producibility input to the engineering design, tool designs, planning, factory layouts, and change integration team to improve the Final Assembly Team’s ability to assemble the product in a consistent and repeatable manner which enables continuous improvement of product quality and schedule.

Basic Qualifications Experience in Manufacturing Engineering at least one of the following: Experience with manufacturing producibility Experience Formulating of manufacturing plans & associated documentation Experience with engineering change & implementation processes and effective methods of Shop floor support Experience with tooling, assembly and integration techniques to engineering and touch labor

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Desired skills Experience working in an aircraft production environment to include: aircraft assembly, aircraft tooling, mechanical and/or electrical system installation and integration

Experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis for mechanical and/or electrical systems

In-depth working knowledge of CATIA V4 and V5

Knowledge in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems to included engineering design producibility

Lean and Six Sigma experience desired

Experience measuring, troubleshooting, and developing solutions for the F35 OML characterization requirements

Experience using access databases to analyze OML charaterization measurements to provide trending

Experience working with VAS, JDL, PDM, ICA and QAD Systems that are utilized on the JSF Program

Ability to be a self-starter, who is highly motivated and can operate independently in a high-tempo environment and possesses the capacity to work in a changing environment with minimal supervision or direction

Capable of working in multi-functional teams

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
