Lockheed Martin Operations Analyst Senior in Fort Worth, Texas

As a member of the Skunkworks Operations Analysis Virtual Simulation and Warfare Integration team, this individual will primarily conduct analysis to quantify the impact of operational concepts (CONOPS), system design, payloads, weapons and tactics, and survivability and mission effectiveness, and military utility assessment. This position will focus on analysis of current and future fighter platforms (F-35, F-22, F-16, Next Gen Air Dominance) in Human-in-the-Loop virtual simulation labs, especially the F-35 Partner Manned Tactical Simulator (PMTS) and the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Integrated Warfare Development Center (IWDC).

In this role the selected candidate will serve as a data analyst and mission model programmer who will be interacting with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) software. Responsibilities include developing and updating tools and interfaces between virtual simulation environments, running real-time database queries and operating/developing real-time graphic analysis displays in MATLAB. In doing so, this person will support executing trade studies, quantifying Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), drawing meaningful conclusions, preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis results. This person will work directly with project leads to ensure data analysis plans are established to successfully collect & analyze data. They will also work directly with customers (internal as well as USG and International military pilots & analysts) to provide the necessary data analysis to achieve event objectives.

Additionally, this person will be trained to operate the mission control station in the PMTS. This requires basic understanding of the simulation environment and threat Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADs). It also requires interaction with PMTS customers as well as interfacing with Simulation and Systems Integration Laboratories (SIMSIL) simulation control personnel.

To best perform in this role this person will be responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge of the F-35, as well as the F-22, F-16, and ADP platforms, in order to understand what analysis is required, how these platforms operation in a tactical environment, and to be conversant with visiting pilots.

Must work well within a team, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with team members.

Basic Qualifications - Technical degree (such as engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or operations research) with three plus years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience with analytical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Secret clearance required to start; must have an ability to get Top Secret & special access clearances

Desired skills -Current F-35 Program Clearances highly desired - Prior experience in system engineering or military operations analysis, including constructive or virtual simulations - Experience with MATLAB, Oracle, SQL, C++, JIMM, Java, and/or XML - Experience with Linux operating environment - Strong computer skills, especially in Windows environment and Microsoft Office suite
