Lockheed Martin Simulation Software Engineer Sr in Fort Worth, Texas

Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) Conceptual Sims Software team is looking for an experienced software engineer to develop low-to-medium fidelity models (such as aircraft weapon, sensor, environment and threat models) and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) capabilities used in man-in-the-loop simulations.

This position requires a complete understanding and wide application of software requirements, design, development, integration, and verification principles and concepts.

You will work as an integral part of a highly motivated team using Agile/Scrum methodologies. This position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States and internationally. There are times where you may need to work a flexible schedule to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs.

NOTE: This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.

Basic Qualifications - Expertise in C++ programming - Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) / Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques - Software development expertise in aeronautics and one or more of the following: - PVI (pilot vehicle interface) - Navigation/Sensors (CNI, INS, GPS, Radar, EOTS, DAS) - Weapons and Munitions

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills Demonstrated ability to take high-level customer inputs, derive requirements, and then design and develop software to meet those requirements with a high degree of independence.

Knowledge of F-35 PVI, sensors, weapons or avionics is highly desired.

Experience with: - Agile/Scrum development methodology - Integrated development environments (Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc) - Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Using Design Patterns - Test driven development and refactoring - OpenGL or other graphics development libraries
