Lockheed Martin Contracts Negotiator Sr Staff in Grand Prairie, Texas
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Contracts Negotiator Senior Staff (Labor Grade 5), for a position in our Grand Prairie, TX office supporting the PAC-3 program. This position will support new business capture activities with a focus on International growth. This is a dynamic business area which requires knowledge of US Government and Commercial contracting. Duties include:
Support the PAC-3 directorate with proposal development, negotiations, strategy and planning.
Develop and apply solutions to unusually complex problems which require the regular use of a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.
Review and evaluate customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; provide risk assessments and offer alternative approaches to mitigate risks.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the program with all aspects of Contract Administration and Negotiation, including, but not limited to proposal preparation, negotiations, contract administration, and closeout, as well as special projects.
Advise business area leadership of contractual rights, obligations, risks, etc.
Compile and analyze contractual data; maintain and archive historical information in accordance with US Government regulations and company policies and procedures.
Review and evaluate customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts. Perform risk assessments and offer approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language, as required. Evaluate and coordinate proposal submissions. Investigate and reconcile significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.
Work in conjunction with associated functional organizations and customers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations, to remain cognizant of problem areas, and work with business area leadership to implement the required corrective actions.
Proactively implement controls to ensure proper execution of contract requirements and research requests for proposals. Prepare contract documents authorizing work to commence on a given contract or proposal within established cost, price, and schedule objectives.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written
Extensive experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
A self-starter who can work independently with little supervision
Experience with multiple contract types (FPIF, FFP, CPAF, CPFF, T&M and Commercial)
