Lockheed Martin Guidance Navigation & Control / Missile Defense / Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is looking for experienced missile navigation engineers to support development of a high-speed air-launched missile. Responsibilities including initial design of the missile navigation system, development and tuning of the navigation algorithms for all flight phases, conducting navigation analysis to support system trade studies, modeling the navigation system in a Simulink-based missile simulation, and interfacing with internal and external customers. Experience is desired with development of transfer alignment algorithms and tightly coupled navigation filters using multiple sources of aiding. An active Secret security with an in-scope investigation is required.

Basic Qualifications Guidance, navigation and control (GNC) experience, specifically missile navigation algorithms. Must be proficient in MATLAB and SIMULINK

Candidate MUST have a secret clearance prior to start with an investigation within the last 5 years.

Desired skills Experience with transfer alignment of air-launched missiles. Experience with Kalman filter design using GPS and IMU measurements.
