Lockheed Martin Sr Reliability Engineer / FMECA / FRACAS / Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX responsible for developing reliability predictions using approved prediction methodologies for mechanical and electrical designs.
Perform hardware and functional software Failure Mode and Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
Develop reliability program growth plans, and conduct reliability growth analysis.
Support design reviews and test activities as required.
As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve reliability design.
Support Reliability testing such as Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Accelerated Life Testing (ALT) and Reliability Growth Testing (RGT).
Develop Fault Trees.
Participate in Corrective Action Boards (CAB) and Failure Review Boards (FRB).
Identify Failure Review and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) trends to
identify and prioritize failure modes to investigate for corrective actions.
Prepare FRACAS Reports.
Perform detailed analysis and statistics of FRACAS data including top-10 and pattern failure analyses.
Assist in root cause analyses and investigations including supplier/vendor items.
Represent the FRACAS team in meetings and other venues.
Recognize opportunities for improvement based on failure data and support development and implementation of system design improvements.
Interact with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, program managers and customers during the investigation, documentation and resolution of system failures.
Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), support Concept Screening Board (CSB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB).
Support Subcontractor Management Teams as the Reliability Engineering representative responsible for review and analysis of subcontractor designs, engineering analyses and reliability predictions, test programs, manufacturing processes and performance verifications.
Candidate will spend majority of time working in a team environment, providing inputs to engineers, performing analyses, and writing reports.
Requires frequent travel to Orlando and additional program related work locations. Possible Temporary Duty Assignment in Orlando for approximately 1 to 2 months then return to Grand Prairie to continue to support efforts.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications Must have a Secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.
Strong technical background with a degree in Engineering.
Reliability Engineering and FRACAS experience with solid understanding of analyses, modeling concepts and tools.
Experience with performing reliability predictions.
Experience with the FMECA (failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis) process.
Experience with Windchill Quality Solutions Reliability software tool or equivalent. Ability to manage subcontractors in Reliability field of expertise.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must.
Additionally, candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
Strong problem solving skills.
Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with little direction.
Candidate must be willing to work overtime and travel as needed to support program requirements.
Desired skills Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
Strong electrical background with a good mechanical understanding.
Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
Experience with reliability program growth plans, and reliability growth analysis.
