Lockheed Martin Subcontract Manager Staff in Grand Prairie, Texas
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Subcontract Manager for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to perform subcontract management duties in support of the GMLRS program. This position is responsible for price, cost analysis, and compliant procurement documentation required by Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP), local Site Work Instructions and Command Media. Buyer queues may consist of complex subsystems, components, parts, hardware, equipment, capital expenditures, information technology, and other goods and services. Duties include:
Represent Lockheed Martin Global Supply Chain Organization (GSCO) as a prime point of contact for subcontracts or projects.
Manage complex subcontracts, including those with Spec / SOW-driven requirements, and other specific procurements as required.
Prepare and release RFPs, receive, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract terms and conditions, select or recommend subcontractors, document agreements, administer resulting subcontracts/POs, including subcontract / PO closeout.
Negotiate modifications to subcontracts, develop positive working relationships, and interface with suppliers via phone, email, or personal visits.
Confirm and / or expedite material deliveries to support program production dates.
Lead cross-functional teams to establish or change hardware specifications, quality requirements, and schedules, including Failure Analysis (FA) and determination of root cause and corrective action with suppliers.
Manage supplier relationships and supplier performance to achieve program and customer requirements for sales, orders, and profit.
Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Basic Qualifications Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Experience managing supplier relationships and cross functional teams
Able to proficiently develop, apply, and analyze the effectiveness of Supply Chain methods to turn materials into products
Able to lead groups in problem solving
Excellent communications, negotiations, presentation and documentation skills
Desired skills Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality and Engineering as they relate to subcontract management
Ability to create and present using Microsoft Office tools
Ability to interact with senior management and external personnel on significant matters, which often requires coordination between functional organizations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective in influencing and establishing positive relationships
