F-35 Support Equipment Field Service Representative (FSR) for Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), Nagoya Japan Depot Modification & Repair Facility with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).
Foreign Assignment: This position will offer a 1-year assignment to Nagoya, Japan, with possibility of extension.
F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Field Service Representative. Successful candidate will provide technical guidance and logistics support for a broad range of F-35 Ground Support Equipment (GSE) located at the F-35 Depot Facility in Nagoya, Japan. Advises MHI customers on the proper usage and operation of F-35 support equipment (SE), programs and systems. Provides expertise for resolving SE technical problems and troubleshooting products to customer requirements. Provides training to customers on proper utilization of equipment. Uses engineering data to determine correct equipment configuration and to identify or help define design deficiencies that limit equipment utility in the customer’s environment. Consults with GSE equipment managers, engineers, reliability engineering and suppliers to resolve customer equipment issues involving safety, usability, reliability and availability. Collects, archives and submits GSE readiness status. Identifies reliability and maintainability issues that affect readiness trends.
Work requirements at this specific location will require individual to be heavily involved with physical sustainment, maintenance, and management of F-35 Depot support equipment, to include physical execution of scheduled / unscheduled maintenance tasks, calibration item management, as well as broken tool replenishment activities. Individual will be heavily involved in equipment logistics activities as well, involving shipment of equipment on and off site on a frequent basis for repairs, scheduled maintenance, or equipment modifications off site. Work will be done at customer site at MHI.
Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements.
Successful candidate must be willing to travel to the country of Japan and operate at the F-35 Depot Facility at MHI for the duration of 1 year, with possibility of contract extension. Candidate will be required to travel to various F-35 locations within continental United States while concurrently working VISA requirements for work in Japan, shortly after hire date.
Employment is contingent upon the successful candidate's ability to pass medical, dental, overseas screening requirements, as well as obtain and maintain a work VISA for the country of Japan. Candidate must maintain their medical fitness for this position. US "Secret" security clearance must be current, with last reinvestigation within 5 years.
The selected applicant may be required to work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week to support equipment needs at the FACO. Potential for weekend work may be possible dependent on customer needs.
Relocation: Relocation is authorized for candidate from CONUS to Nagoya Japan.
Accompanied Status available: Successful candidate is authorized relocation with immediate family members. Relocation details will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position following candidate offer letter acceptance.

Basic Qualifications Candidates must have an active Secret security clearance, with last periodic reinvestigation completed within the last five years. Ground Support Equipment / Aerospace Ground Equipment maintenance experience or commensurate related experience. Proficient in industry standard maintenance practices. Excellent communication skills. Proficient using MS Office Software including; Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook. Experience using engineering drawings and technical data. Capable of working in hazardous flightline environment. Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards.
In addition to the following: 1) Good Communication & Verbal skills (Ability to speak fluent Japanese considered a plus) 2) Self Starter & the ability to multitask 3) Must be willing to work off hours depending on operational needs. 4) Able to withstand extreme weather conditions in varying climates. 5) Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds for 25 or more yards. 6) Travel outside the local region is anticipated and will include CONUS and other locations in Japan in support of operational needs at other sites. 7) Time zone differences may require adjusted shift schedule as necessary to participate in telcons or VTCs with external agencies. 8) Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin’s training locations prior to international assignment. These locations may include but are not limited to: Luke AFB, AZ; Nellis AFB, NV, Hill AFB, UT; Eglin AFB, FL; Edwards AFB, CA; Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Yuma, AZ; Beaufort, SC. 9) Successful candidate must be capable of passing medical, dental and overseas screening requirements and must maintain their medical fitness for this position as a condition of employment.
