Lockheed Martin Contracts Negotiator in Huntsville, Alabama

Contracts Negotiator for multiple fast-paced programs (i.e. THAAD, Targets, SBIR, North Alabama Operations).

The successful candidate will provide Contracts administration support by reviewing and interpreting contract requirements, contract change impacts, extending and administering IWTAs and requests for proposal / ROMs. The individual will be proficient in understanding contract terms, articulating those positions to the business and ensuring the program teams are able to effectively understand the impacts of the agreements reached with the Customer.

Overall responsibilities include: - Ensure contract responsibilities are compliant with LM Policies and Procedures and implementing business strategies for on-contract new business opportunities. - Manage, participate in and / or conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. - Advise leadership and Program management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical contract information.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education. Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including contract administration, proposal preparation and close-out. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) Frequent use and general knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other government acquisition regulations.

Desired skills Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Defense Contract Management Administration (DCMA) Expertise in the LM Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) Prior experience working in an IDIQ contract environment, including the administration of multiple task orders and delivery orders Prior experience working with interoffice company contracts or IWTAs Strong working knowledge of CPIF, FFP and CPFF contract types Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills with a proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple Business Units Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision Able to manage and administer multiple task orders in a fast paced environment Experience working with virtual teams Able to work under very general supervision where work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy Able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity which may require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
