Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Associate in Huntsville, Alabama
The MEADS (Medium Extended Air Defense System) program is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer who demonstrates initiative, a willingness to learn, and is interested in adding value at Lockheed Martin. Selected candidate for this position will be working with MEADS software development Leads. Candidate will write or test code as part of a missile defense ground software system. The candidate will learn the MEADS software development tools and may use those tools to help develop requirements, software design, and code. Duties will involve the troubleshooting and identification of software problems and working to identify solutions to those problems and developing interim fixes to the problems. Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required for this role. Interim Secret Clearance required at start.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science related Engineering Degree or other related discipline from an accredited college/university. This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired skills Programming experience in C, C++, or JAVA. Fundamental knowledge of program planning principles. Experience developing real-time embedded software. Experience with single board computers and real-time operating systems. OS background to include Sun Solaris, Linux, Windows; Object Oriented Methodologies and UML Modeling Techniques. Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems, hardware, telemetry, command & control. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
