Lockheed Martin Software Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama

Lockheed Martin is seeking qualified candidates to join the Modeling and Simulations Contract Full & Open (MASC F&O) program. The MASC F&O program will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in performing Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and it's intended uses. This includes the following categories; Concept Evaluation, Developmental Engineering, Testing and Verification, Assessment, Training, and Operational Support.

MASC F&O personnel will support in the following areas.

• Transition the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) development and sustainment from the current contract to the MASC F&O contract. • Modify, enhance, develop, and sustain of the MDA Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) to meet MDA's evolving M&S requirements. • Maintain and evolve the OSF architecture and external interfaces. • Develop, modify and enhance other BMDS tools as required.

Typical tasks may include but are not limited to: designing, developing, and testing enterprise applications; defining software requirements; fixing trouble tickets; providing sustainment support; troubleshooting existing baselines. The engineer will collaborate with other team mates and other engineering disciplines.

This is a Blue-Sky requisition contingent on contract award.

Basic Qualifications Demonstrated experience using: C++ and/or Java languages. Unix/Linux Operating System Experience. Object Oriented (OO) Design & Development experience.

Desired skills Candidates should have a solid understanding of Modeling and Simulation. Experience in Engineering tools support. Experience Developing / integration of engineering tools. Experience in development of model elements, DIS protocols. Familiarity with Agile Process Tools. Demonstrated communication skills. Configuration Management Tools. User Experience (UX) skills. Experience with DDS OpenSplice. Familiarity with Eclipse or other IDEs. Experience in using Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF), Eclipse Communication Framework (ECF) is desired. A self-starter that is attentive to details and works well in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.
