Lockheed Martin is seeking qualified candidates to join the Modeling and Simulations Contract Full & Open (MASC F&O) program. The MASC F&O program will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in performing Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and it's intended uses. This includes the following categories; Concept Evaluation, Developmental Engineering, Testing and Verification, Assessment, Training, and Operational Support.
MASC F&O personnel will support in the following areas.
• Transition the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) development and sustainment from the current contract to the MASC F&O contract. • Modify, enhance, develop, and sustain of the MDA Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) to meet MDA's evolving M&S requirements. • Maintain and evolve the OSF architecture and external interfaces. • Develop, modify and enhance other BMDS tools as required.
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Basic Qualifications Strong systems & software engineering and/or system administration process background.
Prior System Administrator experience.
Familiarity with lab administration and change / configuration management in systems and subsystem level Systems Administration and Enterprise experience, including but not limited to MS Windows, UNIX/Linux operating system environments.
9+ years’ experience with Linux Redhat systems. 9+ years’ experience with Windows Server systems. Network+ & Security+ Certifications.
Desired skills Certified in Security+.
Demonstrated system administration skills, to include: Setting up configuring and troubleshooting all aspects that make up Storage Area Network (SAN), logical unit number (LUN) and host bus adapter (HBA) Hardware. Setting up configuring and troubleshooting all aspects that make up Internet Protocol (IP) Switch Fabric architecture (Routing, Fail Over, etc).
Working knowledge of Networked Attached Storage (NAS) and supported protocols.
Engineering skills required for maintaining Enterprise Server Racks
Strong Working knowledge of SSL/VPN security architecture with integration into multi-layered Firewall architecture Performing System Virtual Volume Imaging and Recovery, Disk to Disk/DR and Disk to Media Understanding of Network Open System Interconnection (OSI) Model Layers. Backups of physical and virtual servers/computers (Windows 2012, Windows 7), Disaster recovery/restores.
Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers System Maintenance - scheduled upgrades/maintenance, startup and shutdown of rack components.
Software Maintenance – applying OS updates, antivirus/antispyware updates, and patch updates.
User Account Maintenance (Active Directory)
Microsoft Certified System Admin or Certified IT Professional. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or similar certifications.
Proficiency with scripting languages like PERL, Jscript, Unix Shell, Python, etc.
Experience with Vulnerability Management Systems.
Desired DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I or Level II.
Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS).
Good Communication & Verbal skills.
Self Starter & the ability to multitask.
