This position is at ATARS II Hurlburt Field AFB, Fl.
Maintain, adjust, isolate, remove, and replace faulty hardware on Special Operations Forces (SOF) simulators and task trainers that support the Aircrew Training and Rehearsal Support (ATARS II) Program. Maintain host computers, image generators, visual displays, input/output (I/O), electric/hydraulic control loading systems, hydraulic motion systems, computer networks, and associated electronics, etc. Report and document all hardware system actions related to equipment malfunctions, modifications, removal, installation, fault isolation, and repair. Perform operational checkouts and preventive maintenance utilizing work instructions and technical manuals. Complete maintenance data collection records on equipment associated with trainer and support equipment. Establish and maintain positive and courteous relationships with all military and civilian personnel related to this program. Comply with all site safety and security policies and procedures. Complete all assigned tasks with quality and pride in ownership in mind. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Monday through Friday rotating shifts work is required.
Basic Qualifications • Two (2) or more years of formal training in electronics trade school or at least 2 years experience in an electronics maintenance environment. High School graduate. • Ability to interpret schematics and electrical wire diagrams. Basic soldering skills required. • Proficiency with basic hand tools and test equipment. • Skilled with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. • Working knowledge of basic computer internal hardware and operation. • Knowledgeable with basic test equipment, i.e. oscilloscopes, DVM, and Signal Generators. • Accomplished with personal computers, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. • Communicate (written or verbal) effectively with team members. • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired skills • Two or more years of C-130 and CV-22 aircraft experience. • Prior experience with simulators or task trainers. • Background in hydraulics. • Computer networking skills.
