This position is for a Quality Assurance Inspector in support of LCS Sustainment in Mayport, FL. Familiarity with LCS platforms highly desirable. Quality Assurance Inspector will be focused on conducting QA efforts on Corrective Maintenance (CM), Facilities Maintenance (FM), and Preventative Maintenance (PMS) efforts, supporting checkpoints simultaneously, collecting OQE and performing surveillance activity such as verification of onboard paperwork, PCPs, welders' certs, welding material, personnel qualifications, etc. The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for coordinating the checkpoint activity of the aforementioned personnel, collecting, verifying, and matching OQE to completed work items, PCP development and review of documentation to ensure quality requirements have been identified and incorporated. This position will be required to: 1. Work without supervision in high-pressure situations, maintain equipment inventory. 2. Be well-organized, highly motivated professional with excellent oral and written communication skills. 3. Interface with Trade Supervisors, Ship Superintendents, and Customer Representatives regarding quality issues. 4. Handle multiple assignments and interpret customer specifications requirements. 5. Interface with Ship Superintendents, Planning Department and Customer Representatives 6. Develop a QA Test and Inspection Plan. 7. Perform and document in-process and final inspections as required. 8. Participates in the development, review and enforcement of Process Control Procedures (PCP) in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items and Navy Instructions 9 Facilitates work certification and closeout as directed by the Naval Supervising Activity. 10. Develops and maintains Test and Inspection Plan (TIP) for each availability in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04. 11. Reviews work specifications for inclusion of QA requirements and assists in development of work specifications. 12. Coordinates, oversees and attends quality assurance checkpoints with required customer representatives. 13. Monitors all maintenance efforts to ensure compliance with quality requirements. 14. Maintains all checkpoint documentation throughout the availability. 15. Coordinates the preparation, review, approval, and submittal of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with program and company process requirements. 16. Establishes QA compliance and performance including material controls, Failure Reporting, Corrective Actions, QA reporting (where required) and calibration requirements

Basic Qualifications 1. Able to read and explain blueprints/specifications, instructions and understand oral and written instructions. 2. General knowledge of shipboard work with the ability to read blue prints, interpret government & NSI requirements, and must possess the skills to visually inspect all weld procedures. 3. The individual should have a working knowledge in several of the following: - Government specifications - Work specification requirements - NAVSEA Standard Items - Mil Specs - Process Control Procedures - Material Inventory Inspections - NACE or NBPI - NDT WWI or Level II

Desired skills 1. A strong background of Government specifications, work specification requirements specifically but not limited to: NAVSEA Standard Items, Mil Specs, Process Control Procedures, Material Inventory Inspections, NACE or NBPI, and NDT WWI or Level II 2. A thorough understanding of Quality Assurance. 3. Experience developing Process Control Procedures (PCP) in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items and Navy Instructions 4. Experience in developing or maintaining Test and Inspection Plan (TIP) 5. Experience with test team coordination throughout the availability to include any added work items, revised work items, canceled work items, etc.
