Lockheed Martin Software Engineering Mgr in King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania
The qualified candidate will lead an AEHF Development Environment team across multiple contracts and opportunities, but primarily those that support the AEHF Capability Augmentation contract with a focus on the development environment work. The candidate will be responsible to carry out functional leadership, programmatic leadership and Cost Account Management (CAM) roles on the program. In addition, the functional leader of the environment sustainment work will report to this manager position. Leadership experience required on a Military Satellite Communication program and mission system delivery. This position reports to the Engineering & Technology Senior Manager.
As a leader, this includes (but not limited to) all E&T functional responsibilities such as LM Commit, Salary Planning and Discussions, Mentoring, Career Discussions, Staffing, Training, Talent Management and recognition/disciplinary actions. The leader's team will consist of approximately 10 employees comprised of 1 environment sustainment manager, a technical leadership team and staff. The candidate will have a proven track record where they have exhibited strong Full Spectrum Leadership skills, a commitment to Diversity & Inclusion as well as being able to effectively balance their workload between both their functional, programmatic and CAM assignments showing strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills by effectively holding the team accountable to meet their schedule milestones. The candidate will provide leadership to Core and Services resources located in King of Prussia, PA.
Programmatic responsibilities will include (but not limited to) managing software development and COTS integration activities to support the AEHF Environment and develop future virtual and Cloud environments for the development teams. The qualified candidate will also have working experience in programmatic planning and managing OS/COTS upgrades in the Development and Operational Environment. The candidate will manage COTS development and integration activities by coordinating resource allocations, and engaging in COTS technical discussions. The candidate will have a proven track record to work with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., sub-contractors and vendors) to ensure project milestones are completed on time.
The qualified candidate will have overall experience in managing the Environment team labor cost control accounts to ensure cost and schedule variances are identified and addressed promptly, and that the earned value management is implemented. This includes managing the SSC business rhythm for head count, thread and opportunity, ETC and other reporting.
Requires proven understanding of the mission and development environment needs of the AEHF Program and customers. Candidates must currently be in a direct billing position on the AEHF program.
Basic Qualifications -Demonstrated full spectrum leader with a proven track record. -The candidate will show strong problem solving skills & communication skills with a proven background on a development contract. -Will have the ability to understand Protected MilSatCom Mission Planning development environment requirements. -Previous experience supporting ECPs/proposals for communications / ground components or subsystems and translate into the Environment needs. -Previous experience as a cost account manager or demonstrated knowledge of earned value management. -Previous experience managing IT Infrastructure efforts. -Working knowledge of Operational Sustainment and Support Environment projects, tools, processes. -Experienced with managing multiple activities across different projects.
Desired skills -Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest products. -Development environments including Tools, Processes and scheduling. –Out of the box thinker - willing to take different approaches to problems. -LM21 Blackbelt Certification -Agile experience
