Lockheed Martin Electronics Assembler in Kings Bay, Georgia
This position includes the assembly, rework and repair of flight electronics packages and modules. The successful candidate will independently read and follow production/service order work instructions, to include reading and interpreting design disclosure engineering documentation, (blueprints, WeaponSpecifications, Ordnance Documents, redline drawing, sketches, etc.). Read and follow Manufacturing Process Standards, Assembly Methods Instructions, Quality Notification dispositions and any other shop floor documentation required to fabricate, assemble, rework/repair electronic modules, packages, flex circuits, and associated ancillary mechanical components. Use all materials, tools, measuring devices, and equipment necessary to complete jobs such as module assembly, module installation, soldering, component removal & replacement, wire-wrap, adhesive mixing, application, connector assembly, contact/wire crimping, insertion, extraction, conformal coat (spray painting), package cleaning, and fastener torquing. Use any tools or equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks. This occupation requires assembly, rework, and repair of electronic packages and modules (circuit card assembly) where tactical (flight) disciplines have been established and employed.
Basic Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent - Must be able to routinely lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs - Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance - Must have experience with manufacturing electronics assemblies or maintenance/troubleshooting electronic circuits - This position requires occasional travel and overtime - Must pass special skills eye exam - Must be willing and able to work all shifts
Desired skills Prior experience working with the assembly of electronic module circuit boards and packages is strongly desired. Good mechanical aptitude including manual dexterity and the ability to use hand tools such as crimpers, soldering irons, wire wrap guns, and torque wrenches. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. A self-starter with an ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with little oversight. Excellent situational judgment and innovative continuous improvement. Experience with SAP functionality is a plus. Ability to read and understand shop documentation used during the performance of job duties. Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be proficient using data processing systems including the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to use dimensional tools and gages.
