Lockheed Martin Engineering Technician II in Lexington Park, Maryland
This position primarily supports Research & Development and production efforts in support of the Presidential Helicopter Avionics development contract. This position will also support other programs at the Patuxent Engineering Facility as required. Position will be in support of the troubleshooting, repair, and qualification/acceptance testing of avionics equipment utilizing automated test equipment and rack systems. In addition the position will be in an electrical fabrication shop. The duties will be supporting electrical design, prototype and production manufacturing, assembly and testing of avionics equipment. Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings to include assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, interconnect drawings, and wire lists is required. Thorough electronic trouble shooting to board level experience required. Thorough hand held soldering of through hole and surface mount components is required. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Basic Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years electronic technician experience. Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings to include assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, interconnect drawings, and wire lists. Experience troubleshooting to board level. Experience with soldering surface mount (SMT) and through hole components on circuit card assemblies. Experience with de-soldering and or repairing circuit card assemblies.
Desired skills Familiarity with Shop travelers and production procedures and processes. Five (5) years electronic technician experience. IPC / J-STD-001 Solder Certified IPC / WHMA-620 Cable Certified Experience working with QA personnel.
