The Instructor Pilot is responsible for the accomplishment of ground-based training of C-130 aircrew members. He/she instructs and measures the training progress of students trained in the aircrew curriculum. Conducts briefing/debriefings and counsels students for the purpose of maintaining a high level of proficiency. Provides input for courseware corrections, assists in project and development work as assigned, and conducts ground training as well as training in various simulation devices. Provides training for C-130 operating procedures, analyses and remediates student problems, performs administrative and recordkeeping duties, monitors student progress, serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME), and maintains a high standard of instructional ability, subject knowledge, and training expertise. Provide training, orientation and assistance to newly hired personnel as required. Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.

Must be qualified as a Pilot in the C-130 aircraft within the last five (5) years. At least two hundred (200) hours of instructor Pilot flying time in the C-130.

Must be capable of attaining a SECRET clearance.
