Lockheed Martin Construction Engineer Sr in Littleton, Colorado

Oversee and manage elements of construction and associated direct contractors on a $350M building construction project including a large clean room, thermal vacuum chamber, anechoic chamber, and secure classified space. Ensure construction is performed safely and conforms to design, schedule, quality standards, building code, and environmental regulations. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for construction errors. Minimize construction interruptions to business operations. Coordinate actions and expectations between construction contractors, project stakeholders, project management, and company leadership.

Basic Qualifications • Industrial construction background including coordination with architectural & engineering firms, general contractors, and subcontractors through all phases of construction projects. • Experience in construction administration including request for information (RFI), submittal, and change order processes. • Working knowledge of building plumbing, electrical, and mechanical system installation and operation. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. • Familiarity with current building codes and OSHA requirements. • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and administrative tasks simultaneously. • Effective written and verbal communication skills appropriate for the construction job site and management briefings. • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • Experience with construction scheduling software.

Desired skills • Construction management-related bachelor’s degree. • Background in the aerospace & defense industry including relevant procurement policies & procedures. • Experience with industrial process infrastructure such as cryogenic systems, process gas, and process cooling water. • Track record of managing construction on multi-million dollar contracts • Project management experience. • Expertise in Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject construction scheduling software. • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
