Lockheed Martin Contracts Negotiator Staff in Littleton, Colorado
Senior Contracts Negotiator to join the Special Programs Line of Business at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in Littleton, Colorado.
This position will provide contracts support to the Advanced Programs Mission Engineering Programs area and will negotiate contract awards and modifications with the US Government. Negotiates, administers, extends, terminates and changes standard contracts. Evaluates contract needs and performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts. Monitors and ensures compliance to contractual obligations. Maintains communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract policies and practices to company personnel.
Responsibilities include ensuring contract responsibilities are compliant with LM and SSC Policies and Procedures; establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external customer relations; supporting initiatives to increase profitability and cash; and implementing business strategies for on-contract growth. Manages, participates in and/or conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance Advises leadership and Program Management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Basic Qualifications Contract administration experience with strong negotiation skills.
Must be well versed in FAR and familiar with other government acquisition regulations.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including internal and external constituencies.
Team player and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and meet hard deadlines.
Strong presentation skills and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Strong communication (written and oral) skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Experience as the primary customer interface with strong positive customer relations track record.
Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Desired skills Experience with a variety of contract types including Cost Plus and Fixed Price hardware programs.
Experience drafting terms and conditions; proposal preparation and leading negotiations.
Cross-functional experience a plus.
Team player and self-starter with excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
