Lockheed Martin Electrician A - Maintenance in Littleton, Colorado
Candidate will perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric energy. Locates, troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems and equipment to a component level by using a variety of tools, and measuring and testing instruments. Work involves the following – installation, repair and maintenance on a variety of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, controllers, power distribution units, circuit breakers, motors, VFD, heating units, conduit systems, and other electrical equipment and components. Programs and trouble shoots both interior and exterior lighting controls Will be working with and without blueprints, drawings, layouts, schematics or other specifications in order to make repairs, and upon job completion provides as-built drawings. Tests and replaces lead acid batteries for uninterrupted power systems (UPS) and other equipment. Normal work is on 480 volt or less systems and equipment, occasional closed door switching on metal clad medium voltage (13.8KV) equipment. Uses test equipment such as multi-meters, rotation meters, micro-ohm meters (ductor), and other test equipment to diagnose and validate repairs. Performs routine cleaning and housekeeping of all work areas.
Basic Qualifications • Must possess a valid state of Colorado Journeyman Electrician's license and be a graduate of a state certified electrical apprentice program, or equivalent training. • Have a minimum of 8 years in maintenance facility work and construction experience within the electrical trade discipline. • Must be able to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. • Good with working in a team setting alongside multiple other crafts. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, must be able to work shifts in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, and must be able to obtain all certifications as required by Company and Law. • Must possess valid CO driver license. • Must be willing to work overtime/shift work.
Desired skills • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.). • High quality work and propensity for patience. • Experience with generators, UPS and low voltage switchgear including draw out circuit breakers. • Infra-Red experience.
