Lockheed Martin Electronics Engineer Staff in Littleton, Colorado
This position Is located in Denver and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This Electronics Engineer Staff position supports the overall AVE IPT Avionics Team by leading the design and development, analysis, test, and troubleshooting of the Remote Interface Unit flight electronics hardware. This includes establishing board and box level requirements, board or and box test requirements, schematic generation and schematic capture, printed wiring board layout oversight, parts selection, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) or Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) resource allocation, FPGA or ASIC design requirements, parts stress analysis, board worst case analysis, and board and box test development. The engineer will be the Certified Principle Engineer and work with Design Leads and other Subject Matter Experts to understand the hardware and systems, and apply circuit design and troubleshooting principles to develop new and improve existing electronics hardware. Developing necessary plans, schedules and budgets as well as periodic statusing and developing recovery plans as required. The candidate must function well in a creative, high-tempo, collaborative, cross-functional, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment. This position will start in September of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017.
Basic Qualifications - Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and/or techniques. - Develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. - Demonstrated usage of Zuken, Mentor Graphics or other schematic capture tool. - Knowledge of worst case analysis process. Has performed WCA on at least one CCA design. - Successfully transitioned at least one CCA to layout. - Knowledge of box and card test requirements and process. - Has demonstrated proficient presentation skills and associated presentation tools.
Desired skills - Experience with US Air Force Weapon Systems Programs - Experience with US Strategic Systems - Experience with Missile Weapons Systems - Experience with USAF Minuteman III Acquisition and Sustainment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project). - Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members. - Effectively manage change - Demonstrated technical leadership. - Desire to excel in digital and analog design, test software development and test equipment applications. - Working knowledge of Nuclear Hardened Design - Performed WCA on multiple CCAs. - Successfully transitioned multiple CCA designs to layout. - Successfully tested multiple CCA types. - MRB Certified in at least one (Line of Business) LOB. - Has demonstrated project proposal planning, detailed planning, scheduling and budget generation and resource allocation.
