Lockheed Martin Informance Assurance Engineer in Littleton, Colorado
This position is for an Information Assurance Engineer working for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS), supporting Space Systems Company, Special Programs Line of Business. Candidate performs roles as a sustaining engineer and security analyst utilizing the Nessus security tool. Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to; managing database and vulnerability scans, performing analysis on vulnerability scan data for mandated scanning initiatives, vulnerability scan configuration troubleshooting, false positive identification to resolution, hardware configuration and deployment, documentation reviews / updates including Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) and network diagrams, daily and weekly application operations and sustainment activities (vulnerability check vetting, Scan Policy updates etc), change control procedures, vulnerability findings research, technical testing of significant maintenance / operational / upgrade activities, and process enhancements/updates. The candidate should be familiar with security testing tools and methodologies, networking and numerous OS platforms. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, management of priorities and deliverables, and heavy interaction with numerous program and business area representatives.
Basic Qualifications - Information Security related background - Experience with vulnerability assessment / scanning tools (i.e. Imperva SecureSphere, Trustwave AppDetectivePRO, McAfee Vulnerability Manager, Nessus, etc.) - Knowledge of ICD 503 - Operating System knowledge (i.e. Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) - Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Experience reviewing and updating System Security Plans (SSP) - Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Certification, i.e. Security+ - Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Desired skills - Database and Operating System hardening experience - Experience with using Remedy/ITSM (IT Service Management) System - Ability to learn DSM(an in-house scripting language used with SCCM for software deployment) - Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) - Project Management experience - Demonstrated effective oral and written communicator to both management and technical staff
