Lockheed Martin Mechanical Engineer Sr Stf in Littleton, Colorado
This position Is located in Denver Colorado and supports the Air Force Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Technical Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program. This Mechanical Engr Staff position will report to the Propulsion Manager of the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) and lead the Ordnance effort for both the Operation and Flight Test Equipment (FTE) missiles including the flight termination system for FTE. This candidate will be the technical conduit for managing the subcontracts with the Ordnance teammate. This candidate shall develop ordnance specifications including requirement analysis, allocation and decomposition and verification, support Range Safety document tailoring and Range Safety Working Groups, define ordnance interfaces to AVE elements, working closely with the harnessing and mass properties team, inputs to test concept operations, inputs to test program related to hardware qual, support equipment and reliability assessments. This candidate will perform ordnance trade studies including cost, open architecture, common components including high voltage vs low voltage initiation electrical (smart initiation) vs mechl/hybrid, laser initiated and compare separation systems. This candidate shall developing ordnance products and deliverables required for the program System Requirements Review, Trade Studies for the Cost Capability TIM, System Functional Review, 9QTIM and Preliminary Design Review including the ordnance preliminary design. This position will start in September of 2017, and is contingent upon the GBSD TMRR award in September of 2017.
