Lockheed Martin QA Engineer Sr in Littleton, Colorado
Sr. Quality Engineer supporting the Orion manned space flight programs' Integration Test Lab (ITL). Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product in a Test Lab envronment. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating products and production equipment. Analyzes inspection and testing processes and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and assess the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.). Test Lab experience. Experience in Design/Test Readiness/Manufacturing Readiness Reviews. Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, be thorough and detail oriented, with strong job closure and analytical skills.
Desired skills Experience with SAP operating systems. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies and has the ability to work in ERP/SAP (Qnote) with Quality Material Review Board (QMRB) experience. It's desirable if the candidate has experience with the following software applications and tools; JIRA, Orcle Enterprise Performance, Visual Enterprise Complex Assembly Manufacturing Solution (VECAMS), Automation Framework and EPDM.
