Lockheed Martin QA Engineer in Littleton, Colorado
The position provides quality engineering support to the Supply Chain Quality organization. Responsible for establishing contractual supplier quality requirements for multiple lines of business and ensuring the proper flow-down of those requirements to the SSC supply chain. Interpret engineering drawings to establish quality requirements for procurements and subcontracts. Coordinate and resolve issues with conflicting requirements. Creation, reporting and analysis of quality metrics. Ability to work with internal suppliers, product centers, and subcontractor/suppliers. Utilize SSC ERP and P2P systems and MS Office suite applications to perform day to day tasks. Collaboration with design engineering and programs for requirements development.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Familiarity with performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems.
Familiarity with the responsibilities of Quality Engineering, including corrective action and supplier improvement.
Demonstrated expertise leading or implementing continuous process improvement.
Desired skills Bachelors degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. American Society for Quality Certification and/or Lean/Six Sigma Certification (Greenbelt/Blackbelt). Understanding of AS9100 Quality System requirements and special process approval. Experience with continuous improvement practices, using tools like SPC and Causal Analysis to drive corrective and preventive action. Familiarity with LMSSC Procure to Pay (P2P), SAP, and EPDM systems. Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with LM Program Quality Engineering Management, Design Engineering/CPEs, LM Supply Chain Management, Supplier Management, Supplier Quality Management and Government Representatives such as DCMA.
