The Autonomous Systems (AS) business, located in Littleton, CO, is part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Business Area. The AS team has over three decades of experience in research and application of independent decision-making capabilities on robotic vehicles and systems. Employees focus on three core competencies: perception, planning and control to create robust and dependable products across its platforms. This position is for a Software Engineer, supporting the Autonomous Mobility Applique System (AMAS) family of programs and will be responsible for the software architecture, code, unit test, integration and verification for Unmanned Ground Vehicles. Position will also support technical demonstrations and develop software using the C++ language in the Linux environment and work with Systems, Hardware and Safety Engineering to validate software performs to all requirements. Additional responsibilities include developing and integrating software for execution with the VxWorks Operating system and to work with Safety Critical SW Requirements, ensuring proper development from architecture through validation. This position requires limited travel.

Basic Qualifications Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team environment. Strong personal drive. Above average verbal & written communications skills. Experience with formal SW development process. Experience with using C++ language in the Linux environment and with VxWorks.

Travel for field testing will be required.

BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Desired skills Experience with Robotics field testing including software development and data analysis leading to the next solution.
