This Enterprise Business Services (EBS) position supports the Space Systems Company (SSC) located at the Lockheed Martin Waterton Facility in Littleton, CO.

This position provides Windows and UNIX/Linux system administration services including server installation, integration and configuration of the system, as well as the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Instructions (SOI's) in support of SSC GOES Programs.

Provide system administration services for the SSC Windows and UNIX/Linux (Linux Primary) environments and requires the following abilities: • Apply required security patches • Application integration support and knowledge • Ability to provide “after hours” and weekend support, as required • Configuration management of Active Directory • Coordinate alert generation tool downtime for planned outages • Coordinate anti-virus updates • Determine root causes of problems and recommend strategies to prevent recurrences • Document, install, configure, maintain, and upgrade system software and hardware products per engineering specifications and at the direction of the IDE customer • Management of log files • Manage IT technology refreshes • Manage HD/Raid array checks • Participate in customer reviews requiring server impacts or temporary outages • Participate in customer system stress tests • Perform recovery and restoration of servers • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and systems documentation • Provide support for Disaster Recovery planning, testing and execution • Work closely with program to outline new hardware/software requirements

Basic Qualifications • Experience with multiple Operating Systems (RH6.x, RH7.x; Solaris 10.x) • Experience with managing daily server operations (LDOM, GPO, AD, print services, permissions management, IT security & compliance, file sharing, print services administration and security patch management methodologies, etc.) • Experience with Vulnerability Remediation, infrastructure security management, and server hardening. • US Citizenship

Desired skills • Ability to obtain a security clearance • Specialized certification (RedHat Linux, Python, SQL, CompTia, CNSSP, etc.) • Linux patching (such as Puppet) • Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution, security readiness, software engineering, basic Linux and Microsoft OS understanding • Working knowledge Microsoft Windows servers • Experience with Web application development and deployment using NGINX, Apache and Servlets • Experience with Virtualization • Ability to write and/or edit scripts (such as bash/cshell/korn, Perl, PowerShell, or Python) • Experience with security audit logging and system configuration documentation • Experience with software application installation • Working knowledge related to storage: direct-attached, NAS, SAN, or Cloud
