Lockheed Martin Systems Integration Test Engineering in Littleton, Colorado

Successful candidate will represent the Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO) organization in providing planning and execution of Long Lead Procurement analysis and integration. Works OV enclosures as required. Incorporating Engineering impacts for Class I and Class II changes as well as Engineering Change Order coordination. Create detailed work instructions and production orders for assembly, integration, and test operations. Creation of assembly sequences for modification, repair, or refurbishment of existing hardware based off engineering modification plans and make from drawings. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Will be responsible for major subsystem and system-level assemblies within the ATLO organization including Special Test Equipment, Ground Support Equipment and Racks, harness assembly, and system level Lab and Vehicle integration. Responsibilities begin at Design and include coordination with Design, Procurement, Subcontracts and Production teams working within the SSC Production ConOps. Knowledge of development of work instructions, routings, product structure, and Bill of Materials within SAP or other type of database. Experienced in the review of engineering drawings and as floor liaison support. Good verbal and written communication including technical writing. Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical drawings, schematics, procedures and reports. Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in the use of SAP, or similar ERP system, generating work instructions, routings, product structure/EBOM/MBOM. Experienced in the review and interpretation of engineering drawings and configuration management practices and databases such as Windchill, EPDM, or similar. Experience as floor support/liaison with assembly technicians. Experience with coordinating system integration, with multiple components and subsystems from numerous suppliers. Experience defining a plan to integrate and test based off existing engineering, test documentation and procedures. Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation. Willingness and ability to work non-standard shifts which will be required on an interim basis to support projects/programs timelines. Top Secret/SCI required.

Desired skills Special tooling and handling knowledge. Make or buy assessment background. Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) tool-set. Exposure or participation on teams that have performed product, facility, and or resource risk mitigation through in-depth engineering and evaluation using producibility techniques. Ability to perform requirements analysis working within a major assembly team. Solid communication skills & demonstrated ability to drive process compliance and coordinate across functional teams. Ability and experience to act in a supervisory role for guiding and improving an assembly area and technicians.
