This role will lead the Manassas site Material Management/Distribution and GFE Repair activities that encompass all inbound freight, receiving process, material movement within the facility, Production and Depot stockrooms, Inventory Control, Fleet Support Lab, Paint Shop, Prep/Pack/Shipping, and outbound freight carrier logistics. This position will lead 14 full-time LM employees and up to 8 sub-contractors and be responsible for all HR related activities in the areas of Performance management, Career Development, workload planning and staffing. Leader will be responsible for determining and reporting appropriate performance metrics for this department in conjunction with Production Operations functional goals/targets in the areas of Quality, Schedule, and Cost. Leader will be involved with and support Operations Excellence Teams (OET) that the direct reports participate in as well as the broader OET program across the site. This position will be responsible to ensure all resources required are available to support the production schedules from a release/delivery standpoint in conjunction with overall non-production activities across the site. Leader will be expected to understand RMS Key Results and the alignment of Production Operations tiered metrics to those results so employees have a clear view on how their performance objectives support the higher level organizational goals..
Basic Qualifications Previous L-code or formal lead experience; Material Requirements Planning experience; Process Improvement experience
Desired skills COS/SAP experience
Earned Value Management
Green Belt/Black Belt
GFE Repairs/Depot toolset experience
Secret Clearance; not required at start but candidate needs to be able to secure a clearance after accepting position
