Lockheed Martin Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer - Technical publications experience in Marietta, Georgia

Responsible for the development and validation of organizational-level technical documentation for C-130 and C-5 aircraft Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) Manuals and related technical publications for installation, operation, maintenance, and parts ordering for complex C-130 and C-5 aircraft systems and components. Technical publications experience and knowledge of the structure of IPB manuals is preferred. Candidate should have working knowledge of aircraft/engine/mechanical/airframe systems. The ability to read and interpret engineering, supplier, and customer, vendor, and engineering documentation is essential. Candidate should be familiar with the following specifications: ATA 100 - Specifications for Manufacturers Technical Data, MIL-STD-1808 (USAF)-System/Subsystem/Subject Numbering System, MIL-STD-38784 - Technical Manual General Style and Format, and MIL-PRF-38807C (USAF) - Performance Specifications - Technical Manual - Illustrated Parts Breakdown. Some publications are developed in LM Aeronautics Automated Technical Manual (ATM) System utilizing Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML). Knowledge of desktop publishing and capability with SGML authoring tools is desired. Successful candidate must be able to effectively interact and communicate with customers, vendors, engineering, and other organizations to define aircraft maintenance requirements. Prior military or industry experience relating to complex and integrated aircraft systems is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Candidate must have good oral and written communications skills and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.. Salary $53,000.00 to $71,000.00 depending upon skills and experience.
