Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer - Entry Level in Marietta, Georgia
The primary discipline focus is Standard Tooling, Tooling, Tool Engineering, Corrective Action and automated equipment. The Team support of a Manufacturing Engineer including fabrication support, assembly floor support, tooling, production planning, corrective action, process/continuous improvement, work sequencing, presentation of work instructions, and work around plan executions are included in the day-to-day requirements. These skills will be expanded and matured by working with the guidance of senior level Manufacturing Engineers while support the F35 Program and Marietta Site products. Supporting integration of all elements of production, including blueprints, specifications, tooling, work instructions, equipment, training, inspection, methods and materials. Assess, develop, and implement changes to maintain safety, improve quality, reduce cost, streamline planning, bolster work instructions, and maintain production commitments. Coordinate incorporation of new configuration changes and/or new manufacturing processes, tools, and plans. Integrate LEAN and 6S principles into all aspects of tasks and responsibilities. The individual will investigate issues, develop root cause analysis, and initiate corrective actions as required to support Program objectives. Some travel will be required periodically to support supplier activity related to any and all aspects of production including corrective actions, process improvements, tooling, and configuration changes. Utilize computer and graphics systems for efficient accomplishment of primary missions. Provide technical guidance for all areas of manufacturing.
Salary $45,000.00 to $61,000.00 depending upon skills and experience.
Basic Qualifications - Experience or significant exposure to aerospace type manufacturing, assembly, and/or fabrication.
-Experience or significant exposure to Automated equipment.
Experience or significant exposure to manufacturing concepts, planning work instructions, technical writing, tool concept, tool design, and/or tool make as well as tool family relationship and development.
Previous experience with common Aerospace type Graphics Systems.
Experience or significant exposure with metrics and briefings.
Experience or significant exposure in resolving engineering, planning, tooling, assembly, and fabrication problems.
Skills with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Desired skills - Knowledge in areas of F-35 command media, drawings, planning, process specifications and component assembly processes are a positive.
- Direct previous manufacturing engineering, production planning, corrective action, tool engineering, and affordability/producability improvement experience is a strong plus.
-Direct previous experience with numerical control equipment.
CATIA specific experience and the ability to functionally demonstrate skills are preferred over other graphic experience.
Functional skills in PDM MS Access, MS Project, PR, DIMS/ECRS, ICA, and AIMS are considered desirable.
Individual must be highly motivated, self-starting, and exhibit the ability/willingness to make decisions at the appropriate level while working well in a team environment and bringing assignments to closure.
Excellent written and oral communication skills must be able to be demonstrated.
