Lockheed Martin Safety Engineer in Marietta, Georgia
Candidate will apply OSHA Compliance and other industry standards to the manufacturing work being performed at the facility. Will also apply knowledge of regulations to workplace conditions. Conduct accident investigations and perform inspections/audits to identify unsafe conditions and recommend controls and corrective actions. Will serve as subject matter expert on crane safety, suspended load operations, ergonomics, hand tools and machine guarding. Candidate will perform flight line safety, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, electrical safety and construction safety duties.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications Experience in the following:
Experience with general industrial, or construction safety, such as crane safety, suspended load operations, ergonomics, hand tools, electrical safety or machine guarding.
Experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired skills Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience.
Familiarity with other OSHA standards a plus. Familiarity with Industrial Hygiene and Environmental standards a plus. Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or ability to sit for CSP/ASP exam a plus. Safety experience on Department of Defense cargo aircraft is desirable. Excellent communication skills. Excellent people skills and ability to work in a team environment.
