Lockheed Martin Software Engineer in Marietta, Georgia

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) is looking for world class talent in Software Systems Development to be a part of a team that will carry on our 70+ year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

This position is with the Advanced Development Programs Software Systems group in Marietta, GA. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to lead, develop, integrate, and test software products for Advanced Development Programs.

We are looking for a software designer and developer with excellent C++ design and development skills. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows, and/or Linux is desired as is experience with modeling of the physical world (aircraft flight, radars, weapons, and sensors). Experience with algorithm design and development is highly desired, including graph theory, route planning, scheduling, “traveling salesman problems” and sequencing, etc. The selected applicant will utilize advanced technical concepts in support of software products within Advanced Development Programs (ADP). The applicant will be responsible for creating real-time software, as well as algorithm design and development of engineering system modeling and data representation. Experience in multi-threading highly desirable.

This role requires a highly motivated, organized engineer that is familiar with all aspects of software development. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a clearance.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelors in technical discipline. - C/C++ or Java Languages - Experience with either Linux or Windows operating environments

Desired skills - Bachelors or higher in a technical discipline such as computational media or computer science or software engineering preferred. - Both Java & C++ Languages - Experience with algorithm design and development - Experience with multi-threading - Experience with engineering system modeling and data representation - Active Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation with the last 6 years preferred
