Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer-IT Staff in Marietta, Georgia

As part of the Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) organization, this position will supply computer administration support for Solaris, Linux and Windows Operating Systems, and support software development on these systems. Candidate may also be involved in computer build up, network administration, as well as procurement, installation, and maintenance of computing equipment.

The L&TS organization designs, develops, and operates System Integration Laboratories and pilot-in-the-loop simulators for each major Lockheed Martin Aeronautics aircraft program. This includes C-5 AMP, C-5 RERP, C-130J, C-27J, F-22, F-35, and F-16, as well as others. This is a fast paced organization with the highest quality standards for our internal Lockheed customers.

Selected candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule when required to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs. On occasion, the odd shifts could include nights and/or weekends. Selected candidate must be willing to travel occasionally within the United States if required to meet program needs.

An active DoD Secret clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires a Final Secret Clearance to start

  • Proven skills working with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Bachelors degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • relevant experience working with multi-processor Windows and Linux computing systems, administrating networks, workstations, file servers and PCs.
  • Security+ CE Certification.

Desired skills - Knowledge and experience working with computer file systems and data backup devices. - Knowledge and experience working within a classified computing environment. - Able to work independently and in cooperation with multiple individuals and groups. - Excellent communication skills.
