Lockheed Martin Electrical Engineer in Marion, Massachusetts
Anticipating the need for additional staffing to due to anticipated work in late quarter 3, early quarter 4 of 2017, Lockheed Martin Sippican's Mission is in search of a skilled electrical engineer (level 2) to join our rapidly growing team in Marion, MA. This role in the Rotary and Mission Systems business area, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to and grow with a top-tier employer known throughout the world for its engineering prowess, diversity of product offerings, and robust solutions.
The candidate will be involved with production support, development, design verification testing, integration and test, qualification testing, followed by introducing the final products into production for the guidance and control section of the MK-48 Heavy-weight Torpedo. The individual will support local full-scale production for the duration of the products life cycle. Duties will include design enhancements, analysis, design for overcoming obsolete components, hands on troubleshooting, writing technical reports, and interacting with a close knit engineering team as well as our customers.
The candidate should be energetic, able to work independently, yet thrive in a team environment and have sound theoretical and practical experience as well as passion for digital design engineering. Occasional overtime and some travel are required.
Basic Qualifications The qualified candidate must have: 1. US Citizenship 2. Ability to obtain a security clearance 3. A minimum of a Bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering 4. Outstanding ability to multitask 5. Strong design, testing, and troubleshooting skills, aptitude, and experience 6. Thrives in a fast paced team environment 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 8. Proficient with common laboratory engineering tools including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, digital multi-meters, and other support equipment. 9. Matlab, MS Office suite
Desired skills 1. Embedded systems design experience 2. Zuken schematic capture 3. Experience with underwater systems or other US naval systems or related products would be a plus 4. PSPICE 5. LabView 6. Programmable logic device expertise 7. Signal integrity expertise 8. Analog skills 9. Effective presentation skills 10. EPDM
